How do I get started?

You must first join DCTV as an individual or an organization and complete our free DCTV 101 course. Learn more about the benefits of a DCTV Membership.

I am interested in using your equipment and/or facilities. What do I do?

In order to use DCTV equipment and facilities, you must be a member of DCTV and certified to use the equipment and facilities. Members are required to sign a Statement of Compliance and complete DCTV 101. Upon completion, you may sign up for additional DCTV Training Courses in order to become eligible for certification.

How do I rent/reserve equipment and facilities

In order to rent/reserve equipment you must be certified and submit a Program Proposal form. Your designated project manager will follow up with you regarding your request within one week. Remember you need to be certified or work with certified producers and/or technicians to reserve equipment and facilities.

What if I want DCTV to produce a program for me (individual)?

In order for DCTV to produce a program for you, you must be a DCTV member and take our free DCTV 101 course. Once you've completed this course, you may consult with a Production Coordinator in our Production Department by calling (202) 526-7007.

What if I want DCTV to produce a program for me (organization)?

Hire our team of professional videographers and trained technicians to perform the production aspect of your program. To learn more about this service, please contact our Creative Services manager, Amy Oden, aoden@dctv.org.

How long does the creative services process typically take?

This time will vary, depending on our schedule and the complexity of the shoot. As a rule of thumb, plan for 3-4 weeks in order to ensure that there is ample time to consult, plan, and complete your program.
