Presented by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Emmy® Awards recognize excellence in television production in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.
Arts/Entertainment – Short Form Content
Capital Arts takes viewers into the creative world of DC’s artists, offering an intimate look at the photographers, painters, musicians, dancers, sculptors, jewelers, and other visionaries who shape the city’s artistic landscape. Each episode is a journey of cultural expression and local impact, exploring the heart and soul of DC’s vibrant arts scene.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – Long Form Content
A bold, high-energy celebration of individual expression, LIYT Nights & Drag Duels follows local drag artists as they compete, collaborate, and create unforgettable performances in a series that fuses authenticity with artistry. Rooted in DC’s LGBTQ+ community, the show was recognized for its originality, visual creativity, and commitment to showcasing underrepresented voices. This series was produced in partnership with Phillip Alexander Downie Productions and the nonprofit organization Live In Your Truth.
The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens, celebrating work from local broadcasters, nonprofits, and global brands alike.
Bronze Award: General – Not-for-Profit
Bronze Award: General – Public Interest & Awareness
We produced this original short as part of DCTV’s Nonprofit Media Fellowship, a program that provides storytelling and production support to local organizations. Created on behalf of Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, the piece explores the natural beauty, ecological significance, and community impact of this historic DC park. Through interviews, scenic visuals, and a narrative rooted in conservation, this unique program spotlight earned Bronze Tellys in two categories.

Voices for Change is a short-form video series featuring Black women sharing personal reflections on racism, resilience, and identity. Through their stories, the series offers honest and powerful insight into the lived realities of inequality—and the strength found in speaking out. Created as part of DCTV’s mission to tell stories that matter to help our communities thrive, these voices remind us why representation and truth-telling are essential to making positive change.
These honors are more than accolades—they’re proof that community media matters. Whether we’re spotlighting grassroots action, elevating local artists, or collaborating with nonprofits to share their missions, DCTV is committed to producing media that informs, inspires, and includes.
